PREMED PROGRAM-DIRECT ENTRY INTO MEDICAL & HEALTH CARE SCHOOLS OVERVIEW

SEE SUCCESS STORIES

Our Pre-Med (life science or health science) diploma program guarantees direct admission into partner US modeled medical, dental, veterinary, chiropractic, and other health care schools if a certain GPA is maintained and additional school requirements are met. Our program is delivered in partnership with colleges and universities in Canada and USA.

This program is for students who do not have an undergraduate degree. If you have a degree or are in the process of obtaining one please visit our postbaccalaureate program page and our prerequisite courses page.

We have several agreements with schools that offer a dual BSc/MD and BSc/DCM to our premedical program graduates once they complete the first 2 years of an MD or DCM degree. SGU offers our 60 credit graduates a direct entry into their 5 year medical school program (see partner universities)

We also have several agreements with universities in USA that offer a transfer of our Premed credit program into their 3rd year of a BSc degree. Through our program you will obtain a degree, complete all prerequisites, prepare for MCAT and USMLE step I and obtain a BSc from USA that allows you to apply to Canadian and many US medical and other health care schools.

MCAT is not required for our Pre-med program or to gain access into our partner medical schools. MCAT based courses are offered in the first two semesters, while USMLE step I based courses are offered during the last two semesters of the program.

Upon graduation, students receive our 92 or 54 credit pre-medical diploma program, and study the first 2 or 3 years of medical school in our affiliated medical schools and 2 years of clinical rotations in USA, UK, and Canada, followed by residency positions in the US and Canada.
